"They are open Tuesday-Saturday 6am-2pm. The original owner's granddaughter bought it and is keeping it roughly the same with some improvements!!! Fantastic Denver, with the up charge for Biscuits and Gravy, and a hearty helping of taters! Waitresses and the owner herself were extremely pleasant to have talked to. The employees seemed to enjoy being here and didn't provide fake customer service but actual pleasant human interaction."

- Daniel

"If you're looking for a small town diner that caters to locals and truckers that serves good sized portions at a relatively reasonable price, but that isn't some sort of national chain or some hip boutique place, then you have found it in El Bambi Cafe and Truck Stop. I was looking for a good diner for breakfast and the internet had showed me I should go to Crazy Cow. Which honestly looked a little hipper than what I was looking for. But I was delighted to drive past this wonderful diner and stop there instead. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was very good. The menu is exactly as you would expect, as are the prices - which is unfortunate given this ongoingly bad and unhealthy economy. I would suggest a little more salt in the potatoes. But otherwise they were cooked very nicely wnd were crispy and enjoyable. The eggs were also done very well. I quite enjoyed the hearty pancakes. I recommend this place. You should go here."

"I am just a visitor. A truck driver from Florida. We drivers get around. I've got to tell you, this place is excellent!!! It's old. Just the way I like it. Don't get me wrong, the decor is old. The folks that work there have and slow a lot of pride. Excellent food! I had eggs, sunny side up, toast, taters and a side of sausage. Man, you don't know what you're missing!! A little gem hidden off the main interstate. More truck parking than a freight train can haul. No excuse not to come here. This is my new 'go to' in and out of California. Been at this career now on thirty plus years and, boy have I been missing out!! "
